| − | [[Thomas]] and [[Gally]] enter the [[Last City]] via the sewage system outside of the walls. Thomas distracts [[Teresa Agnes|Teresa]], allowing Gally to capture her. They get information on how to get into the [[WICKED Tower|WCKD Tower]]. However, she reveals that they have been tagged and they will be picked up on the sensors. Thomas gets Teresa to remove the [[Swipe|trackers]] while [[Newt]] finds WCKD-style guard outfits for them to try on. Thomas, Newt, and Gally take Teresa into the WCKD Tower. They decide to get the [[The Cure|serum]] to save Newt from his [[The Flare|Flare]] infection. Gally gets the serum while Thomas, Teresa, and Newt search for [[Minho]]. Gally gets the serum and some captured [[Immune]] children. He takes them to [[Brenda]]. While Gally goes off to find Thomas, Brenda is forced to flee with the children in a RED ZONE bus to avoid capture from the authorities. However, [[Frypan]] uses a crane to dump them outside of the walls. Thomas, Teresa, and Newt are cornered by [[A.D. Janson|Janson]], whom Thomas had previously [[Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials|encountered]] at a WCKD facility out in the [[The Scorch|Scorch]]. Teresa abandons Thomas and Newt, who are pursued by Janson and the guards. While fleeing, Thomas and Newt find [[Ava Paige]], whom Thomas had vowed to personally assassinate himself after she led an [[Right Arm Attack|attack]] on the [[The Right Arm|Right Arm]] base in the Scorch. Thomas prepares to kill Ava Paige, but Janson intervenes, forcing them to flee. They incapacitate the guards. They are cornered, but an escaped Minho saves them. They lock themselves in a separate room and the guards attempt to break the door open. When they finally do, Thomas, Newt, and Minho break the window and jump out of the building. |
