Dan is a Glader and Builder whose name was seen engraved on the wall of the Glade in the Maze Runner film. His name was not crossed out at the time, and therefore he was alive when Thomas arrived. Dan had long blond hair and wore a blue (or grey) shirt. He was good friends with Gally and was often seen with him. Dan was a Runner, but after Alby was stung by a Griever, he and Hank became Builders. Dan and Hank stayed loyal to Gally and stayed in the Box with him during the Griever attack. Dan was the one who grabbed Teresa and dragged her over to the post to become an offering to the Grievers. Dan and eight others decided to stay in the Glade with Gally.

• In the Death Cure film, Dan is seen in the back in the safe haven.
• Dan may be a reference to Dan Zimmerman.
