Dan is a Glader and Builder whose name was seen engraved on the wall of the Glade in the Maze Runner film. His name was not crossed out at the time, and therefore he was alive when Thomas arrived. Dan is named after film editor Dan Zimmerman. Dan had long blond hair and wore a blue (or grey) shirt. He was good friends with Gally and was often seen with him. Dan was a Runner, but after Alby was stung by a Griever, he and Hank became Builders. Dan and Hank stayed loyal to Gally and stayed in the Box with him during the Griever attack. Dan was the one who grabbed Teresa and dragged her over to the pole to become an offering to the Grievers, but Teresa kicked Dan in the groin.
