David is one of the three guards that Thomas the Gladers and the Group B girls meet at the end of the Scorch Trials when they defeated the Bulb monsters and enter the berg. He is the red-haired guard with the gun who demands that either Jorge or Brenda had to get off the berg or they both die, when Thomas attacks him to save Brenda. David then, tells them that there would be no more trials and everything is fine. This of course is a lie.
