Med-Jacks were Gladers who acted as the equivalent of doctors and nurses in the Glade. Their roles were prominent in the Glade and played an important role. There were only two Med-Jacks in the Glade: Clint, who was the Keeper of the Med-jacks, and Jeff.
After Teresa arrived in the Box, in a state of comatose, Newt called for the Med-jacks, making Thomas realize that they were the closest things the Gladers had to doctors. Unfortunately, neither Clint or Jeff survived to The Scorch Trials in the Film. However, in the Books, Jeff's fate is unknown, while Clint survived and made it to the Safe Haven.
