Noah Oppenheim is an Emmy-winning producer, writer, and television producer. He wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of James Dashner's novel, The Maze Runner.

Education

Oppenheim graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Harvard University, where he was Editorial Chair of the Harvard Crimson.

He attended The Gregory School in Tucson, Arizona and served as an editor and writer for the school newspaper, the Gregorian Chant.

Past and Current Works

He was a senior producer of NBC's Today Show, co-created CNBC's Mad Money with Jim Cramer, was the executive producer of Scarborough Country, and senior producer of Hardball with Chris Matthews. He is currently head of the development Reveille, where he oversees all unscripted development. He is the co-author of The Intellectual Devotional: American History; a New York Times Bestseller. During his time working with NBC News, he led coverage of the presidential elections, 9/11, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the Torino Olympics in 2006.

In June 2012, it was announced that Imagine Entertainment commissioned a screenplay from Oppneheim of George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. It was announced in July 2014 that Oppenheim would write the screenplay for Allegiant – Part 1, the third installment in The Divergent Series and the first film in the two-part finale in the Divergent film franchise.
