Sonya was one of the leaders of Group B along with Harriet, another Group B member, in their maze, implying that she might have been a parallel to Newt in the girls group, having similar concerns, appearance, and personality.

Biography

She first appeared in The Scorch Trials when Group B captured Thomas to kill him. Thomas convinced Harriet and her not to kill him, who then in turn helped convince Teresa. She escaped to the Safe Haven along with the rest of Group B and the Gladers.

Appearance

In the books, Sonya is described as having reddish blonde hair and very pale skin.

In the film, she has light blonde hair, which is worn in a side braid, and hazel eyes.
