Time to decide where to go. Brenda and Tommy say they want to go to Denver, because there's a man called Hans who can also remove the buggn' Swipe, so WICKED can't track or control us any more. I don't really care, but I try not to show. I'm jacked anyway.
We've reached Denver. Since they strictly separate the Cranks from the healthy, I'll stay in the Berg. I don't tell the others, but I feel I won't make it long either way, so the bloody Swipe can sit in my infected brain as long as it wants. Maybe the Flare eats it, too.

Newts POV in TDC Day 2
Rat Man came back this morning with his five guards to force us to the procedure. I could k... this arro...t lying ba...rd! Subjects? Our friends are nothing more than lovin' subjects to him?
My attack at Rat Man did not go so well. They forced Tommy into the room with the Swipe-removing device, doing us one by one. Minho and I have to go with Rat Man. I really don't feel good. The lights are too bright, the sounds too shrill.
Tommy and Brenda just have stormed Rat Man's office, launchers in their hands and disabled him and his guards - with Minho's and my assistance. Now we got Rat Man's key card, we can find our friends and get out of here.

Newts POV in TDC Day 1
Tommy's back! The Mighty Gladers back together again, like Minho said. I don't feel as happy as I'd have expected.
Rat Man is yapping about he's going to have our Swipe removed and memories restored. Most of the kids like that idea. They are like sheep, really. I don't like it. How can I trust them not to put some freakin' WICKED story inside my head? Anyway, if it was necessary they'd force us to do it anyway. They can make us do stuff, like Alby or Gally.
Oh, great, Rat Man has something more to say. He wants to tell us most of us were immune. Only a fistful of kids really had the Flare. I'm one of them. Shuck it.

Newt's point of view on the Death Cure
Tommy has been locked away. The rest of us (that's the remaining Gladers and the survivours of Group B) is just waiting around. Feels like it's all about Tommy again. If he's not around, the rest of us is just mere background. More than a fortnight now. I wonder what they are doing to him. I'd have given up by now if I was in his place.
